Every appointment at Estáscia is completely private — just you and your esthetician, in a private room, with the door closed. We never double-book a room or run multiple clients at the same time. That's a standard we hold to.

There's discomfort — we won't pretend otherwise. But most clients are surprised by how manageable it is, especially compared to what they expected. It gets easier with each visit as the hair grows back finer and the skin adjusts. First-timers are always welcome to let us know so we can take extra care.

At least ¼ inch — roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you've been shaving, we recommend waiting 2–3 weeks before your first appointment. Longer is fine; we can trim before waxing.

Every 4–6 weeks is ideal for most clients. Brazilian waxing and leg services typically stay smooth for 3–5 weeks. The more consistently you wax, the finer and sparser the regrowth becomes — most clients notice a real difference by their third or fourth session.

Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before (not the day of). Wear loose, comfortable clothing — especially for Brazilian or leg services. Avoid tanning, retinoids, or exfoliating acids for at least 48 hours before. Skip the lotion on the day of your visit.

Retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, retinol) thin the skin and waxing over them can cause lifting or tearing. Stop topical retinoids at least 5–7 days before your appointment. Accutane is more serious — most estheticians recommend waiting 6 months after your last dose before waxing. When in doubt, check with your dermatologist and let us know at booking.

Most clients stay smooth for 3–5 weeks. Results vary depending on your hair growth cycle, but with regular waxing the regrowth becomes finer and sparser over time.

Yes — it's entirely your call. Many clients do. Keep in mind the skin can be more sensitive around that time, so you may experience more discomfort than usual. We recommend wearing a fresh tampon or disc.

For 24–48 hours after: no hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms. Avoid sun exposure, tight clothing, and heavy exercise. Skip fragranced products on the treated area. Loose breathable clothing and a light unscented moisturizer are your best friends.
